Check Engine Light

An o2 sensor malfunctioning can cause drivability issues because the computer doesn’t know what the correct air and fuel mixture should be.
• Catalytic converter malfunction: This component is a part of your vehicle’s emissions system. The inside of a Catalytic Converter looks like a honeycomb filter that is designed to remove pollutants from your exhaust fumes. A Catalytic Converter can malfunction when these filters become clogged of contaminated.
• Engine misfire: This happens when one of your motor cylinders isn’t producing power. Typically, a bad spark plug, faulty ignition coil, or a clogged fuel injector can cause these issues.
• Gas cap issue: If a gas cap is loose or missing, a check engine light may come on when the Evaporative Emission Control System (EVAP) detects a potential leak of gas fumes into the air.

Antilock Brake System (ABS) Light

The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) allows for additional control when extra traction is needed, often on slippery roads. The ABS light indicates the anti-lock function of the braking system has been disabled or is not functioning properly. A disabled ABS will cause your vehicle to have less traction control under maximum braking. The normal braking system still works.
